Dr. Michael S. Barr is a distinguished board-certified internist and the President and Founder of MEDIS, LLC, a Veteran-Owned independent healthcare consulting firm established in October 2021. MEDIS provides advisory services, including strategy development, program design, and advocacy support for organizations and individuals focused on enhancing healthcare quality.

Dr. Barr supports Covalence Health's clients as a Fractional Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Advisor.

Before founding MEDIS, Dr. Barr served as the Executive Vice President at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and oversaw the development of HEDIS® performance measures, research and analysis projects, contracts and grants portfolio, NCQA's consulting services, and led the digital measures strategy for HEDIS.

Prior to NCQA, Dr. Barr held prominent positions at the American College of Physicians (ACP), including Senior Vice President of the Division of Medical Practice and Vice President of Practice Advocacy & Improvemen.

Dr. Bar received his Medical Doctorate from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and an MBA from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
