Dr. Jay LaBine is an accomplished surgeon who specialized in general surgery, trauma surgery and renal transplantation. He transitioned from full time surgical practice to full time Chief Medical Officer so he could be fully dedicated to impacting health care system improvement. His business acumen,  clinic insights, executive leadership and collaboration skills have helped health plans, value based provider organizations and private equity backed healthcare companies achieve successful financial and health improvement outcomes. Currently, he consults for BCBS of Michigan, and provides consulting services for multiple entrepreneurial healthcare organizations.

Dr. Labine suports Covalence Health clinets as a fractional Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and managed care advisor.

Dr. Labine received his Medical Doctorate from University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and he holds a Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medicine from North Dakota State University.
